The Sophia is gold-filled and features a large semi-precious chalcedony stone in a vermeil (gold plated sterling silver) bezel. The necklace is 32" long.
Stone information: Chalcedony is composed of thick layers of microscopic quartz fibers and has been used for centuries as a carving material. Chalcedony can assume a wide range of colors and may be semitransparent or translucent. It is said to be a nurturing stone that promotes good will and absorbs and dissipates negative thoughts, emotions and bad dreams.
This collection is named after Sophia Street in Vancouver, British Columbia.
